Hi there :) Is anything like this possible in Bitwig 2 ?

Image

I mean, add a generated LFO to the automation lane, so i can alter the curves, so it may fit to the next lfo curve in the automation lane. ?
When i use a lfo plug in Bitwig ( Beat LFO / Classic Lfo ), and change the speed, it tends to clip/ Not fit the way i like, beacuse of the curve. - u know...
Or is there a trick to do this somehow ?

Huh. That's a tricky one. I tried creating a MIDI CC object on one track, then setting the MIDI input of another track to the output of that object and recording, but it doesn't seem to work.

Ok I have something that works but the solution is kind of ugly. I only know this works on OS X.

1) Create an IAC MIDI bus
2) Make a track with a HW Instrument with its output as the IAC bus you just created
3) In the Note FX for that HW Instrument put a MIDI CC. Create an LFO modulator and modulate one of the CCs

4) In Settings > Controllers make a Generic MIDI Keyboard with the IAC bus as its input
5) Create an instrument track and set the MIDI input to be the controller you just created
6) Record into that track and you should see something like this:

You can copy and paste that automation data wherever you want.

but why don't simply route the modulated CC to an other track an record it ?

Me too. Well nice one. I'll have to go back and figure out why it wasn't working for me.

I just tried this and it doesn't appear to work in Arranger view with xbitz' routing.

It *does* work in clip view though.

I think there's a bug with arranger view picking up midi modulation, especially mod wheel, as I tried to record some modwheel automation in a different context yesterday and noticed it wasn't recording it.

I'll submit a bug report to tech support. Maybe would be useful if others did too.
