HAve you seen Akai have made a FL Studio controller. This looks really tidy, good idea to make the step sequencer as its a major part of FL.

Is the Bitwig user base big enough yet for its own controller? What kind of controller would it be?
For me the Push is perfect, so something along those lines built for BW.

Bitwig since 1.0

Some MPE controller would be nice :)
My Iphone 7 screen is more sensitive than my ROLI lightpad block so MPE touch screen is a possibility.

Well, a Linnstrument exists already and fits perfectly...
Also iPads exist...
As we have scriptable controllers around us, most of the Ableton adaptions work nicely also for Bitwig, and you can adapt them for your personal needs...

I think a perfect controller would be something like Maschine Jam with touch strips, but also with a screen like push 2. And then the button grid is velocity sensitive and mpe compatible, like a 64 pad linnstrument (which can also trigger clips of course).

Thats interesting...just thinking about buying bitwig. Its blown my mind to be honest, but push is the one thing keeping me in ableton (i will also miss the devices....but i have an insane amount of awesome plugins, so it wont be that bad)

I have Push 2, komplete kontrol 2, maschine mk3 and arturia keylab 49 (which im thinking of selling to be honest)
Which of these works well with bitwig?
And with push - is it really true that all the features work in bitwig? Obviously the device mapping wont, but what about step sequencer etc?
The thing i most like about the push workflow is the parameter lock. I love using that when sequencing drums with the step sequencer. is that at al possible? if so then my mind is blown even more..

Also what ipad apps are people using? I have a few MPE compatible controllers - geoshred, thumbjam...and a couple others. Also have a number of MPE synths on the ipad (Volt, Moog etc etc)

Would be great to have a 'touchable' style app for bitwig.
Cheers all!

There are many happy Push users with Bitwig. Check out my Youtube channel for many tutorials regarding Push 2 and also Kontrol 2: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMgtq3 ... 9C-xbxwjTA
Maschine is a bit of a problem since the programmability is very limited. However, there is a guy who used my GenericFlexi (part of DrivenByMoss http://www.mossgrabers.de/Software/Bitwig/Bitwig.html ) for mapping several stuff. Search for "Maschine" in this forum.

All Ableton features are there except Note Repeat and Sample editing. There are also quite a lot of features which are not available with Ableton (2 more drum sequencers, raindrop sequencer, different clip and scene views, ...).

DrivenByMoss also contains the OSC protocol, so you can use any OSC client (e.g. Lemur). There is also Open Stage Control (http://osc.ammd.net/), which is free. DrivenByMoss comes with a specific template for this (also see my Youtube channel for videos about that).

Ah man I can’t tell you how grateful I am! This is incredible. Really looking forward to checking out the step sequencers - this is the most important thing with push.
How about step/parameter lock? That was the other thing I used most with the step sequencer.
Man this is going to be awesome! I still haven’t gotten stuck in yet as I’m still transferring all my ableton sessions over.
I did think about lemur actually (which I have) would be nice to finally have a good use for that!

Have you tried touchable on iOS? That’s a great ableton controller. Would be awesome to have something like that.
But to be honest it sounds like push is going to be awesome. Can’t wait!
