I saw the vid on the new Micro-Pitch device, pretty cool. I tried dragging/dropping an SCL (scale) file in Win Explorer to the device. It doesn't work. Is anyone having success with this on a PC? (Vid showed it on a MAC).

Have you made sure that the SCL file is either a 7 note or a 12 note scale? Bitwig doesn't accept anything else at the moment.

Thanks carlca, and good point. I have just tried several SCL files from VCV Rack dev NYSTHI. Also tried the 7 and 12 note scales in: http://www.huygens-fokker.org/scala/dow ... tml#scales. Not compatible.

Thanks Joe, for confirming what I'm experiencing. I'll submit a support ticket to dev.Joe Leidigkeit wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2020 7:24 pm Same problem here. Win10. DragnDrop is not possible. Tried several 7 and 12 note scales.

Hi. Did you find a solution?

Not yet. Bitwig support emailed and said that drag/drop in Windows only works between apps with the same user access rights. They asked me to start BWS and File Explorer, as admin for both or not as admin for both. Too many registry change to run File Explorer as admin, so I just confirmed I was starting up both of them with no admin rights. Still no workee. I also have UAC turned off. I wrote back and asked them if that could be the issue... waiting to hear...

Hi Joe, Bitwig says it works for them and that I am the only reported issue. Is UAC disabled on your PC? It is on mine, and Bitwig says that should solve it. It doesn't though, so I am still stuck. This is not a huge issue, and certainly has zero impact on my workflow.

Hey. Thanks for the info! UAC was disabled.
I really don't know what to do. And I wonder why there are no other people with our problems.
Win10, Dual Monitor setup, UAC disabled, running Explorer and Bitwig with and without admin rights...
Never had any drag and drop issues in any other program.
And I really wanted to try a few scales (.scl) I used in other Daws/older projects or respectivly in the u-he synths (.tun) I think I will also submit a support ticket to Bitwig. I will not give up!

Thanks Joe. Yep, your description is same as mine. I submitted a ticket, too. I'm guessing not too many folks have tried the SCL drag 'n drop yet.

I've also been experiencing this same issue. Not being able to import scales on top of the 7/12 note limitation has left me feeling so frustrated. It has potential but at this stage this device needs a lot of work to be even somewhat useful for microtonalist musicians imo. Hoping the drag n drop problem gets fixed for windows users at least.

Hi Teezdalien, if you haven't done so yet, and are open to it, please email Bitwig support about this. I have, and I think Joe Leidigkeit did this too. Bitwig couldn't repro, so if enough of us who have experienced this issue let the devs know, they might realize this is an issue. Thanks ---

@sagetone Thanks, I've already submitted a bug report to the Bitwig team about this too. Hopefully they can address this problem.
