Linnstrument MIDI in and USB

Hi all,

I think I know the answer to this, but I can't find it written down anywhere...

Can I use the MIDI in jack at the same time as the USB MIDI? So I can feed a MIDI breath controller in and have the Linnstrument 'bridge/merge' it over the USB MIDI back to the host...

I'm guessing "no", but if you don't ask, you don't get :)

(I ask because I've been experimenting with using the low row as the expression controller for SWAM instruments, and it can provide a much better legato than the expression from each key-press... but it seems a waste of a whole hand just to be poking one button on the bottom row for expression!)

Thanks!

Sorry, LinnStrument's internal hardware is such that either USB or the MIDI jacks can be used but not both at the same time.

Thanks Roger, that's not unexpected :)

On further investigation, it looks like an Arduino Teensy can do USB MIDI (https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/td_libs_MIDI.html), so it may not be as hard as I thought to prototype something that just plugs into another USB port...
