Linnstrument surface separated from underneath layer

The surface layer on my Linnstrument is separated from the surface underneath. So there is air space them on about half of the total surface. What should be done to fix this?

Mine used to do this for a while and I had to do the adjustment a couple of times. Now it never does it.
