It's not quite out yet, but almost. I'm very excited to announce:

ValvEQ

Image

Coming April 2017

Kazrog ValvEQ is a Baxandall-inspired mastering and mixing EQ with Kazrog’s acclaimed Thermionik vacuum tube emulation engine built in, with a custom vintage hi-fi inspired virtual circuit. The EQ features lo cut, hi cut, lo shelf, and hi shelf bands with contiguous frequency control. The valve section can be disabled for a solid state EQ topology. Mid/Side processing toggle allows for equalization of the stereo image for a greater feeling of depth, width, and heft in your mix.

ValvEQ is included in the Kazrog Complete Collection 1 bundle – this means that if you already own the bundle (or purchase it today), you will receive this plugin when it is released in April. You can pre-order ValvEQ separately from the bundle as well.

Wish it had a frequency/phase plot as well...

There are plenty of free scope plugins that can do that. ValvEQ is really intended to be an analog-style EQ that you can set and forget, not a modern surgical utility EQ like Pro-Q or Equilibrium.

Of course, this is a 1.0 product, so the future is open ended...

A funny thing happened over the weekend, and I had a massive debug session that put me a couple of weeks ahead of the game.

ValvEQ is out now, and you can download it (along with the rest of the Complete Collection 1.0.1 update) here!

Wider announcement pending...

Was there a preorder pricing and is it still applicable?

k... got suckered in by the discount  (facebook coupon code for those who didn't see it yet)

anyway, I noticed that the Output gain is still active after disabling Engage on a channel. Any specific reason for this? If you've adjusted the gain staging, it's impossible to do loudness matched comparison.

Same issue as in here? https://www.gearslutz.com/board/12528468-post5.html

You proposed a separate output control as a fix, but why not just disable the output gain adjustment when Engage is off?

Anyways, a separate output gain control would also be welcome, as it would enable loudness matching a setting where the sides have been boosted for example.

There's no good reason for it. An oversight...
