if you have energyXT 1.4 load it (you'd need also RubyTube or another compressor enhancer for a better sound, not absolutely neccessary)

just play the loop and try the controls,

of course you may try the DLL in another host but you have to make your presets.
You go to bed, get up the next morning and there are alphas to try :hyper:

Even in this alpha state BDM sounds pretty sweet. Lots of nice sounds in there already.

Edit: As a result of my hour long playaround here are 36 presets if anyones interested http://www.azreul.com/Files/BDM.fxb They were all created with Liqih's midi file running so I don't know what they'll sound like on your own patterns.

wow 36 presets! But made with an alpha they will not be reusable, <sigh>
if worth we may copy them by hand,

BTW here is an audio file, just to hear the basic analogue character of BDM,
but with samples mixed could be much different and also more punchy,

15' later: azrael presets are cool, people check them!

I must admit to being rather pleasantly surprised at how good this sounds. The .ext and .fxb sent me off on a very productive session this morning. Thanks for that.

Despite your admonishing me to quit buying so many of your plugins I may have to when this is released. :hihi:

thanks bob, (and betatesters who resists until the end of this sonic adventure will have it for free, <grin>)

I briefly checked out the 2nd alpha... simple generators but I like what I'm hearing!
I'm just curious... what are the plans regarding PCM? Separate slots or layering with the vcos? User samples? Any sample manipulation options?
The mind boggles.

Post

layering with the vcos yes, "user samples" not so far, "sample manipulation"
not separate from the chaos functions which will affect each voice separately,

basically in the first release the PCM will be only a transients enhancement
using samples layered with the VCOs

My only recommendation is to find an S for it so you can change the name to BSDM. ;)
the old free version may not work boots successfully on new generations of computers, instruments, and hardware

I just want to add that I think digital and "analog" bending options is a great idea - but I do not agree about the fault GUI implementation - I think at least that should remain stable and steady (from a usability as well as a marketing point of view).

I agree with pw, though some small cracks across the faceplate would at least be original.

played with the alpha last night and had great fun with it. i hooked up stormgate3 to it and used it to send midi cc that modulated some of bdm's parameters over time. :)

I must say- I really really like this one, liqih!
here's a little somfin...
while I did use some Live 6.0.10 automations, resampling of phrases and such as well as a little production to the final, ALL the sounds were created solely using the BDM 8) :tu:
this is quite a fun little beastie.
