I keep get a full scale white noise from String Dream in Cubase 5.1.1 on the Mac
The noise has been so bad the it actually made the cut off kik in the my monitors.
This happens totally randomly and Ive tried to find a variable of the cause but cannot.

System OSX 10.5.8
Mac Pro Quad 2.66
Cubase 5.1.1

liqih I wish I could give more details but its something that seems to pop normally within an hour of the vsti being in use in a song.

its worth noting that sometimes after the burst of noise Cubase completely loses sound for about 20seconds.

Maybe it is some sort of buffering issue

So it happens ONLY after some minutes?

Same for Microrock pro?

VST only right? The AU of SDS and Microrock pro has been reported to do not show that issue

we're close to find the way to fix that noise in SDS VST on Mac, possibly I'll have an update next week

...and it seems that the bug is related to the Reverb, minx you could try to use it with Reverb off so far and see if that helps,

Thanks,

(hivkorn any news on microrock?)

There's no reverb in microrock pro, in SDS it was indeed the reverb, it's fixed now and during the week I'll release the Mac update

:? I must be awake before post here!!! sorry ! :)

As Minx said it's a burst noise and the only way for me to make it stop is to unload the plugin and reload it.
