So I thought the Fuzzrocious LunaReclipse was pretty cool, not a new pedal, though it is discontinued unfortunately. I did pick up the last one they had in stock at TSP on sale for a great price. I don't know if there is anything similar in another pedal.

who's up for a "fuzz off"?
throw a few squeals, chugs, crunches and such, on a guitar, upload short demo of our fuxx (the plural of fuzz) (it is now anyway) nothing fancy, let's not get too widdly.

Cool! I really need to re-string my guitar as it sounds a little flat, but I will put up something for
the Vespa and the others as I get them eventually. The mail has been tortuously slow lately.
I liked the Half Horse from Pelican NoiseWorks in that video quite a lot as well and will probably
grab it at some point. Not super expensive either.

Pelican Noiseworks is a one man operation out of Portland Oregon I guess. I still have to re-order thevurt wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 7:51 pmis that one of those japanese pedals you where looking at?pekbro wrote: ↑Tue Dec 28, 2021 7:46 pmCool! japanese pedals direct from japan as the shipping is way cheaper for me ridiculously. No particular
hurry on that. I am finding that you really have to be ready to jump on the boutique stuff to get
in on it often. Fuzzrocious did make a last run of 50 Luna's, with some cool changes which sold
out in 2 hours apparently. That is a typical scenario unfortunately.

bought this FUZZbox in the other day and getting great tones

I like that it allows a little chord articulation - my fuzzfactory allows zero; it just squeels like a mofo

Barber Gain Changer is ace. I built one years ago (David Barber actually put up the schematic on DIYSB or FSB). Honestly, I've never heard a bad Barber pedal. They don't often get the praise they're due!.jon wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 8:41 am Ive got a Boss RC-500 looper and a Source Audio Collider delay+verb on the way, should kick things up a notch. Ive been using the looper of a crappy Mooer multi-fx unit, but the pedal degrades the sound just by sitting in the signal chain, and loops quickly turn into digital mush. No verb pedal, and just a Behringer Echo Machine for delay... super excited for the possibilities arriving next week!
Im also trying to choose an overdrive pedal, but there's just so many options... if you have tips on a Blues Driver-style, versatile, trasnparent-ish/gentler OD that plays nice and dynamic with PAFs and 22-watt tube amp, link away please been looking at Boss/JHS Angry Driver and Earthquaker Devices Westwood for example.

Ooh, I like the idea of an FX loop for the dry signal.

Santa brought a Chase Bliss MOOD. Love it so far but I’m thinking of putting it on my Dominion 1 because it just begs to be tweaked while playing.

Thanks for a fine reply! I went with the Angry Driver, after listening to hours of OD demos, I really liked the BD-style most, and the JB-2 just adds versatility to that sound with the parallel option. I also realized that this probably won't be my last OD pedal, finding my own tone seems to be a long process.cptgone wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 12:18 pm- I like my Boss/JHS Angry Driver..jon wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 8:41 am Im also trying to choose an overdrive pedal, but there's just so many options... if you have tips on a Blues Driver-style, versatile, trasnparent-ish/gentler OD that plays nice and dynamic with PAFs and 22-watt tube amp, link away please been looking at Boss/JHS Angry Driver and Earthquaker Devices Westwood for example.
pro: routing options
con: concentric knobs; perhaps you prefer to pair your BD with another drive pedal than the JHS Angry Charlie
- there are bound to be extremely cheap Chinese imitations; custom fees etc. may ruin that for you depending on where you live
- If the BD is your thing, you may wanna duke out on luxury editions / extra features / perhaps even vintage models if those have something extra to bring to the party, I dunno.
Boss BD-2W is readily available (and prolly more reasonably priced than many boutique offerings).
- you mention "transparent", so naturally someone suggested a reputed version of the Timmy - perhaps people reading this could do with a general overview of what's on offer in OD-land:

Sounds fun! I just need a thread adapter for the mic stand, then I can record some amazing farts from the alternative clipping options on the Uraltone Muff clone.
