They did such a good job on the UAD Ampegs, what is the consensus on their other native AMP Sims especially during the current PA sale.

You could always try a demo, I quite like the Mercuriall U530 CM, it also has a nice chorus and cab stuff (limited). Bundled with with Computer Music 237.

I play a lot of clean funk stuff. So for both my guitar and bass, bx_bassdude sounded great.

Chandler GAV19T is quite a unique design, no idea how well the plugin compares to the hardware but it seems well-liked. I find the E646 difficult to dial in, but the E765 is underrated IMO and has a useful range. In my workflow it has largely been replaced by Caliburn, though. bx_megadual does the rectifier thing; it's very bassy so watch out for that, but the vintage, spongy etc. switches are all effective.

PA also seems disk space efficient compared to Amplitube and Nembrini (though only about half of Nembrini... and Amplitube installs a lot of stuff I don't use). I've already been using PA and Nembrini pedals and amps more than Amplitube, I might get this (maybe the rest of the bass amps too) and uninstall Amplitube to get back a gigabyte.

I believe the native amp sims are virtually the same to the UAD ones. My new current favorite are the Fuchs amps, so versatile (not a metalhead though, so can´t comment on that). The only thing I don´t liked is that they are all mono and you definitely need to add reverb. The gui for the impulses are not the best, and it would have been nice with a shell where you could create chains with effects, mic and match IR:s and use different amps for left/right etc. It can be done in a DAW of course, but makes it difficult to create presets etc.
