Yes, that has the advantage of simplicity and neatness.

OTOH, if any u-he software were allowed then people could take part using just Tyrell, which would make it free to enter = higher participation.

EDIT: Just seen your last post!

Post

BTW, are there any fluent or even half fluent German speakers who could post a link to this (Tyrell) contest at amazona.de?

Post

Ok hakey,
just posted a link at the amazona.de forum.

To all Tyrell users: please download the latest update version 1.01!
There are some fixes. The old version will turn into a demo version this Sunday!

Am I missing smth? I thought Tyrell was supposed to be freeware?

No - don't worry, it is freeware. The old (beta) version exhibits the kind of behaviour a demo would, which I presume is to encourage people to check for the newer, non-beta release.

Ah, thanks for clearing that out

Yes, sorry, the "demo limitation" is a bug which is fixed in the new 1.0.1

Just download the new version and it's free forever.

A manual was supposed to be provided by Amazona.de, but I think they never got around it...

Not that I'm aware of. It's fairly easy to work out what most of the functions do - especially for those with some experience with subtractive synths. That said, there are one or two more unusual functions hidden away - for example, the availability of "Voice" as a mod source.

EDIT: beaten to it!

Post

Might be an idea to make a list and explaination of some of Tyrell's more esoteric features, or just neat Tyrell tricks. If anyone has any suggestions I'll put them in the second post of the thread.

Post

I've been playing with Tyrell for an album I'm working on. Will enter my favourite patch into this competition, see if anyone likes it!
