final sharpness finetune... get ready! :D

Post

Ladies and gentlemen, behold.... the day your lives turned great!
:hihi:
......
(added: just to be clear this is not an osc preset, it's a whole patch and.. ) OSC3 is containing the DCO wavetable.

In a course of a week, took about 14 hours of work to complete and finetune, hope you'll enjoy! :)

Load your oscilloscope and start simple, experiment with the waves. Any feedback is welcomed.
If someone doesn't understand the (hype) benefit of having waves like these, feel free to ask.

Note that when turning hard sync on (especially when tuning it a bit) the osc phase will have the effect of finetuning the resulting wave.

Can't wait to dig in myself...after a good day sleep :D

added: if poly stuff will sound extra "phasey" disable voice drift for a cleaner sound.

Thanks! :)

@Suloo
Cool little loop going on, checked you patch as well... seems like you only used the chiptune table on osc 1 and 2, no DCO there :P ..anyway cool rhythmic patch.

Did you load "3ee Init v1_3" as a patch or directly as an oscillator?
...it's a patch

Post

as an osc into my init patch and went from there adding other stuff..so, what am i supposed to do to fully make use of this? DCO etc?

Load it as a normal patch and not an osc preset... you will find the DCO waves in OSC3.

You can either use my init patch or simply save osc presets from there so you can load them where you like.

Sorry for the confusion, I should have mention...

no worries, all good.. ;)

this stuff is ace! :hihi:

together with the distortion its so much fun.. :party:

Yeah, dist on any solid sounds rocks!

If playing with the tilt controls, for a more consistent sound, kb track the Dist's Center Freq parameter.
Give it a mod amount of +65 (66.67 I guess is the perfect amount for a full octave kb tracking in Zebra)

Also getting cool results with hard sync or PWM mode.

kb = keyboard?

Post

^yes!

Thanks again 3ee, really appreciate your work, to finding new stripes on Zebra! :tu:

Post

^ My pleasure, I'm glad someone else other than me can appreciate this!
btw, thanks again guys for the feedback! :)

My biggest problem now is that I'm eager to begin work on a new Zebra bank based on these waves but have too many concepts... I always seem to keep avoiding an EDM bank (not the new hyper-popular EDM crap) but the tools atm are perfect for just that! :cry:

usually its the best to do what first comes into mind ;)

3ee,
Feel free to elaborate the benefits of these waves. I'm more of a patch guy myself. Thank you for the recent patch, I'll try it soon.
