@hakey Thank your very much is much better that the one I used before. this is more like a tuba exactly what I was searching for.
In practical playing a tuba needs a lot of air to get a stable tone out of the instrument. So every tone sounds a little bit different even with same key and length. When emulating it digital you don't come to this problem every tone sounds the same that's why it sounds unnatural to me. comparing it to a real orchestra playing a tuba it's not the same of course.
But I don't know how many people listening to this Kind of dance music actually listend to a real orchestra so they actually don't know how it sounds and when mixed it's getting harder to distinguish.
I also think that a lot of people don't know which kind of instrument this is when you ask them.
In my opinion that's the reason why this song became so famous because a lot of people never listened to a real horn or tuba and this was something new in this genre of music and to the community listening to it.
Actually I don't know if the original composer used a sampler or a synth. But as you see in the video linked they did a recreation of the sound using sylenth1 for this sound bank.core wrote:I was messing with Diva a while ago to get a similar sound to that brassy horn from this lovely song. Not very realistic but sounded quite close in a mix imhohihu wrote:Is it possible to create something like a brass horn with Hive (like Ten Walls - Walking with elephants) uses. Found one horn in some of the beta-presets but it not that suitable for a bassline? Maybe i can modulate it any way. Will try it out.
Thx

Thanks for the additional sounds Bryan.
A lot of variety in these.
Keep thinking I'm finished, and then I've got another 12 or so going on.
Hope we can keep adding them until the official release.
This synth is addicting imo, and from something so simple, a lot of diversity of tones comes from it.

I was just thinking the same way.Howard wrote:I know where you're coming from, Xenos - I can't stop either!

Man, you guys are right about this project being addicting! At 280 sounds at the moment and still going. Was planning to quit long ago. I think all that talk about Hive needing modern sounds gives a sense of urgency to make sure that need is met for the users.
