Hi all,

our Hotfix for Zebra and Diva is out now, solving a few little issues.

https://u-he.com/products/zebra2/
https://u-he.com/products/diva/

We recommend updating from rev 7325 even if the issues have not affected you.

Cheers,

- Urs & team

Fixes:

* Mac only: Crash when loading plugin, due to missing write permissions
* Mac only: Crash if a symlink pointed to an external drive (or was recursive)
* Some issues in preset browser when creating or duplicating folders
* Zebra2 DotEight skin: Lock symbol of the mute button had a graphics glitch
* Zebra2: Some parameters could take over value from previous preset under special circumstances (XY related)

Note: To prevent crashes after you update, please make sure that you install into the same locations in which the previous version was installed to. Make sure to update all the plugin formats you had previously installed.

I don't see any links for Zebra rev 7422 or rev 7325, only 7114. The last upload date for any of the latest build download links is 2018-04-25 - so that's 25th April. That includes Zebra, Diva, Satin...so um unless I am missing something you might want to check that hehe. :ud:

Aah ok you're right the links are right at the top of those pages.

Still if you scroll down to the bottom of those pages and say on the Zebra page under the "Downloads for Zebra2" title click on the "latest builds of Zebra2" link, the latest build is not there.

And if you read just one more sentence, directly after the 'latest builds for Zebra2' link, it says "these are stable, but still beta versions".
The latest builds are just that, the links to public beta versions.
And below that, you find the release archive, which holds the previous official release versions.
The newest, up-to-date release version will be reachable through the big, prominent 'download' buttons.

But I agree that 'Downloads for Zebra' and 'latest versions' might be a bit misleading. Maybe we can improve this a bit.

Easy to improve, for instance…
Downloads for Zebra2
Try the latest stable beta version, which includes improvements and bug fixes.

"Latest builds" at u-he is synonymous for "public beta of an upcoming update for an already existing product".

We have releases, those are the current stable, well, release versions.
We have a release archive, in which you can find the previous stable, well, release versions.

And we have the latest builds, where we throw in anything that comes after the latest stable release but that is not yet the next stable release, i.e. a public beta for the next update to an existing product.

As long as I've been with u-he, it's always been like that.

It already says that

Hehe sorry. It's not like I went nit-picking the u-he site for something little thing to complain about. I just saw this thread, went to the Zebra page and totally scrolled past the 2 big 'Download for Windows' buttons to the bottom and saw the title 'Downloads for Zebra2' and thought: "Great! This is where the Zebra2 downloads are!" But not quite. Yeah I was pretty stupid missing the 2 HUGE 'Download for Windows' buttons. But if I can make this mistake maybe somebody else can. Just trying to help make the new site as comprehensible as possible. If you think it makes sense the way it is then keep it - no problemo. :tu:

Also let me say I think your all doing a great job at u-he with the new website and new browser and GDPR compliance and updating everything. All those things are tedious and a pain to slowly build up but really important. You're doing great! :tu:

Sure, the information content is the same, but my version gets straight to the point and is much shorter.

Maybe change the title of that section from 'Downloads for Zebra2' to 'Legacy & Beta versions'. Or perhaps 'Dinasaur & Frankenstein Downloads'. :D
