ACE is already one of my favourite synths. The character you get by turning up the various "flaws" to 11 is great.

I do think the UI hasn't aged quite as well as some of the other u-he products though, and there were always rumors of a "bigger brother" for it...

the UI indeed can be refreshened, something like Bazille's Gear Porn, all in one screen option would be great.

How about simple things such as option to override Osc1/2 in the Mixer with anything else, trigger inputs for envelopes and ramp? That would quite literally just add some patch points, yet open a plethora of patching options. Add Bazille style little bits (quantiser, slew limiter), i.e. one more section the size of the mixer.

tbh I would actually hate it going the HIVE route, where a product that started simple then got too big.

We have not added much, but a few rather simple additions (wavetable support, super easy complex envelopes, little Modifiers in ModMatrix) have had such an extreme impact in possibilities that it *seems* like it got a lot bigger than it actually has.

(I'd also argue that Hive has transformed from orphaned product to a top seller, so I'd say the original version hadn't reached a certain threshold of interest whereas the new one has)

there is a little presets bank included...but yes completly overpriced...half of the Ace price
