Hey,
Say that all I wanted to do was trigger a MIDI signal from one compiled application to Cubase or another host. Is that a thing that can easily be done with the Steinberg VST SDK?

I mean to send midi notes to cubase as if a midi device is visible or is pressing 'virtual keyboard' notes within cubase. Without installing a virtual MIDI device. From one application to another like VST Bridge.

Or VST System Link? Compiled applications - as in if I use the source from the Steinberg SDK to write the app to do it - does someone know if it is a pretty standard function?

I want to open a virtual MIDI port, but I don't want to have to restart to initialize it...
