I see only one issue: You posted it in the DSP and Plug-in Development forum.

Care to explain the reasoning for that? :)

Might want to explain what the thing is within the thing you've posted which is the thing you want to show people. I'm guessing the lead synth?

So you are doing polyphonic pitch detection, scale remapping, and then resynthesis? Does the user have to set a lot of parameters to steer the program in the right direction, or is it smart enough to just determine the key of the song and go for it?

That sounds like a very difficult thing to program.

Yes, yes and no resynth. Just pitch-shifting as the last stage (now, w/out FFT). Two params. Key(root note + major or minor) + Shift (semitone up or down). Of course this can be modified to allow any note - any note mapping. Results will vary based on the quality of your pitch-shifter.

Auto key detection is possible, but not a pri. at this stage

RIGHT..... been a life-long goal to achieve this..... no joke

Cheers

Rich

ps. I am focusing on the quality of the sound, obviously, at the moment. Trying to get rid of that vocoder-like effect on the vocals. I still believe that it sounds MUCH better than the auto-tune effect right now
