Basicly its an integratet sampler what makes it posible to compose musik for webpages.
It would use af new midi format (xmidi)
When a page with xmidi song on loads, the sampler wil download files used in the song. the sampler also haves a internal rom with samples
When this is developed it gives new possibilleties for makin music specifik for webpages.
The samler would also be useful for sound for "mouse over" and like
Flash has some of these possibilities but you can not make musik in flash
Flash has kind of a sampler, but you cant play that sampler with midi files
.....
The webpage sampler could be a 16 channel sampler.
when makin music for the web it would be possible to use your favorit sequenser.
There must be another wersion of xsampler for composers. That would be a normal 16 channel sampler module. when the song is finnished save the sampler setting. That file is the soundbank for your song
export also the midifile...rename it xmidi
upload both to the internet..
there must be a client version of the sampler also
when you load the song from the net, the clientversion load the sampler settings, and download additional files (files not in the sampler rom), and then play the xmidi file
It would be great to integreate some effects and softsynths in the soundmodule also.
