here are better versions (64bit macOS AU/VST2/VST3, 64bit Windows VST2/VST3) that actually work.
https://kzantow.github.io/surge/

it is an automated build based on kurasu/surge master branch.

but eventually the releases will be on the kurasu surge page on github. eventually.

Thanks - what is changed/fixed? The version I'm using does seem to 'actually work' and fixed the first bugs I found but of course there are always more bugs to be fixed.

Post

The installer only mentions VST3 and AU but it says there is VST2 too on the page?

(ran it - no VST2 is installed either)

In version 1.7 my own wavetables do not appear. Everything works in version 1.5.

Tell us more. Can ya send UR own wavetables to esaruoho@gmail.com or post them as an attachment in a new issue on http://GitHub.com/kurasu/surge/issues/new ?

No VST2 to test but with the 1.7. AU in Logic preset saving is not working properly, if I give a patch a new name then edit another field like Category or creator it reverts the name to what it was originally (eg Init SAW) - does the same with category changes - also it changes the Creator to the same name as the patch when reloaded.

Also I can't see where the preset has been saved to - there is nothing in the folder 'patches_user' so not sure where they have gone.

Doesn't help that the company name has been changed to VmbA - it means if I save as AUpreset patches get saved to the wrong location now.

Kzantows builds are from the top of the source tree so have various bug fixes from the last couple of weeks in place. Render problems, invalidation, menus, mpe with the roli. If you go to the github and look at the closed merged pull requests you’ll see the full list of what changed.

Works pretty well now on my Mac. Bug reports as github issues are appreciated at least so everyone knows them in one place.

Is there meant to be a 1.7 Mac VST2 in the installer?

i asked him about VST2 and he checked the vst2 building and said it had broken, and then proceeded to fix it.

looking good on the VST2 front on macOS now.

as of right now there is no change/bugfixlog, but there could, in the future, be one.
it's been pretty wild, but it does make sense to have a changelog, eventually.

hi PietW., I've identified the issue: the current (2nd January 2019) build of Surge does not accept wavetables with the file-extension .WT or .Wt - if you rename the wavetables to .wt they will work fine.

This seems like a minor thing to fix for a future build, however, so I've logged a ticket for it at
https://github.com/kurasu/surge/issues/191

Also, have posted screenshots of what it looks like on macOS AU, Renoise3.1.1 VST2, Live10 VST2, Live10 AU - so this should help figuring it out.

Do you have a lot of wavetables out there? Does anyone have an archive? Would be cool to test them out further.

It seems he hasn't released this officially yet...
the newest builds are at https://kzantow.github.io/surge/ and there's been talk of MPE being supported. would love it if you could check it out and see how it works for you. any reports back (especially about bugs) would be much appreciated.
