Wasn't familiar with that artist, but definitely a good mix. Seeing it here made me go check out the rest of her album, lot of cool writing on it as well as the nice sounding productions.Vortifex wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 12:10 pm I really like the production on this track. Silky vocals and full bass, and the whole mix has a pleasing clarity to it. Good song too, deserved to be more popular IMO. Also is it just me or are embedded YT videos not working here?

yeah, the idiots never anticipated the obvious reverse psychology of it all
Speaking of ass-coverage, the story Max Martin was at such pains to tell about the meaning of the song, 'hit me' merely reflects kids today saying 'hit me back' meaning call me back, it's innocent cellphone-speak. So the religious metaphors and the desperation in the lyric are nothing. One wonders why "Hit Me" was taken right on out of the title of the song then. So "one more time" is just non-sequitur.
Show me how you want it to be
not submissive at all, right
I must confess
I still believe

yup, i remember tipper gore, pushing for them on all the satanic heavy metal causing kids to suicide (wasn't shit lives oh no ..)
it was a sign your band has made it! in the early death metal scene, bands that didn't have the sticker, had to actually be bloody good! as well otherwise no one heard you!
printing our own and sticking them on demo tapes for gigs

There was an interview of Frank some time later - I think it was the morning talk show not long before he kicked the bucket, yeah it is - where Katie Couric tells him Tipper Gore just got a new drum kit. He laughed and said "Well that's explains a few things."
But actually Tipper and Al reached out to him around that time to wish him well and that, he mentioned it and wasn't into talking smack about them.
