Greetings comrades,
Bass is sexy.
Some of us buy songs mainly for the bass lines.
You might find us propped up against speakers at gigs, although I'm not sure modern clubs allow this anymore. It's been a while. I'm nearly 40. Oh, shit where has my life gone? Why can't I attract any half-decent women nowadays? I can't even grow a ponytail anymore. Although my ears, eyebrows and nose seem to have no problem growing their own mullets every day
Sorry, I seemed to have digressed...
Anyway, here are my three favourite bass lines (I thought I'd go for a mix of genres):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GG57_KYQos
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtZUZ640R0U
What are your 3 favourite bass lines?
Cheers
(ps, that's actually a long hair coming out of this emoji's left ear, not a crotchet)

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Being a former bass player, bass lines are often also the most important part of a song to me, along with the vocals.
There is an older thread of mine on that topic:
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=424985&start=75#p5938569
Not sure I can name three specific ones, but my favorite ones tend to be from black music genres such as R&B where the bass has always been very important.
One of my favorites is still this one:

I know there are much more complex bass lines, but I think a bass line should contribute to the groove, so less is often more...

PS: Being older than you, I can relate to the issue of hair growing everywhere except where it should, and it will only get worse as you get older

Many excellent songs chaps, cheers.
(It's always good to pose these threads as well, 'cos I learn about new songs).
@ fluffy_little_something: I see what you mean about growing hairs everywhere as you get older! Some people must believe your forum photo is that of a dog, but it's actually you

Although it is not even an original or a professionally mastered mix, I pretty much like the bass in this. And the SNARE:
