5:25 - "I'm traveling in some vehicle.." is a good example (Spotify Premium - "high quality" 320 mp3)

Is it just me or is this pretty bad sounding?

Yeah, my only guess is Spotify screwed up the file processing. Now I'm wondering how many other albums are ruined...

You're not wrong. It does sound bad. I compared it to the iTunes rip i have of the original cd, which does not have the same issue.

One of my favourites of all time. Sacrilege!

I've never liked radio in any of its forms. I know what I like and how to find it

I guess I should add what brought me here. Wondering who the hell was hallucinating clipping in Hejira
Then I see they weren't hallucinating,but listening to it on a crap streaming service instead of
TAKING THE TIME TO PULL THAT RECORD OFF THE SHELF AND PUT IT ON A STEREO THE WAY YOU'RE
SUPPOSED TO FOR THE TRADITIONAL NOVEMBER PLAYING OF HEJIRA
