I think this just reflects the sad reality: there are more young and aspiring producers who want to be heard than people who want to listen to young and aspiring producers

I thought a publisher is paid 1/2 any music royalties and you get the other 1/2. What is the $11.90 for?

Speedsound is a crap label that releases just about everything they can, but promote nothing. I already have one track out there last year and it sold in 0 copies. Apparently they found out this lazy model business needs a boost

I would use CD baby if you are just an average Joe like me. I get a check for like $13 bucks now and then and most comes from youtube licensing now. This is a fairly new thing because I never used to get money from youtube. I know it doesn't sound like much but it does feel good making anything at all from a hobby I love.
