Hm, I thought they were in the Kontakt patches on autodafe's site, but apparently they're not.loveless wrote:Sascha, I don't know where to find your Kompakt conversions, but I appreciate the suggestion.
Let me have a coffee and then I'll search for them.

Ok, here's the additional multis (which should load fine in both Kompakt and Kontakt after having them do the usual sample search):
http://home.arcor.de/s.franck/gscw/GSCW ... Extras.zip
There's two multis, one for each set, with the drum instruments already arranged (there's groups for kicks, snares, hats, cymbals and toms) In case you want to mix them up, just save the channels as individual instruments.
As the filename says, they're made to be compatible to Kontakt/Kompakt v1.x
These could surely be improved by splitting things such as the different snares, toms or cymbals again, but when I did them I couldn't be arsed to bother, it's been enough work as is.
Perhaps autodafe could put them on his site as well...

does anyone know if these samples are being eq-ed/ compressed? I don't want to ruin them by processing on top of what's already done.

You can't really ruin them IMO.edouard.skippo wrote:does anyone know if these samples are being eq-ed/ compressed? I don't want to ruin them by processing on top of what's already done.
If the changes you make with extra compression and Eq make the part work better in your tune then ... what's the problem?

HEY! Sorry for the Delay but again, the thread is not sending me an email! hmmm! .... OK!edouard.skippo wrote:does anyone know if these samples are being eq-ed/ compressed? I don't want to ruin them by processing on top of what's already done.
The bass drum is already EQ'd with Tube pre-amp!
The Snare Drum is also EQ'd.. Also Tube pre-amp!
If you need to EQ the Kick drum some more, which I don't think you need to, go ahead but be careful of how you do it.
The EQ I did on the Kick drum is what made it work as it does!
It is a 16X16 Floor tom converted as a kick drums! THAT WAS FUN!
Still rattles my brain how good the concept worked!
Every Drum is EQ'd
The EQ on these drums is one of its assets.

Your free GSCW #1 and #2 kits are my goto drums in converted SF2 format (I do notice and like the EQing). I like the sound of your work-in-progress pay kit, so far!

I'm curious when his payware sample-set will emerge. I don't think i will be able to resist buying it . Even though i've just bought the excellent Steven Slate sampleset.
