This serves as a two point post.
1, posting n uploading samples – where?
Right here http://audioshots.com/auditorium/
you can upload freely samples in archives or as straight waves.
For the current upload limits for each file see this http://audioshots.com/auditorium/attach_rules.php?f=9
Now a thread contains many posts – each of these posts can contain five separate attachments each attachment limited to the file size upload limit depending on the limit chart – you can post as many threads n attachments as you need – for free
There are no ads, no limits, people don’t need to register to upload, download or even comment – but you must not direct link to the file in other forums – only link to your posts, please – if people keep to this simple rule, then the forum can remain open and free to all without limits.
If you have files that are bigger than the current upload limits – contact me via one of the contact us forms or PM me, and I will make available a method to upload by, and then link your file to your post.
2, I am seriously considering making available the widgets samples
– this is a collection of odd fx and sounds in wave format – but I would like to know what the most popular sample rate is atm. I put a poll on the front page here http://audioshots.com anyone can vote – you don’t need to register to do so.
I will edit this post and remove no.2 at the end of the poll and replace it with the link to the post containing the widget collections in the most popular voted bit depth n sample rate.
Best regards,

Hi folks,
I've updated the first post in this thread - all links checked, many added, 1st March 2005.
Also check out my general sound links list in "Everything Else", which goes beyond just samples :

The Samples at The Auditorium are by original sample providers – all of which exist and you can communicate with – either here at K-v-R or at the Auditorium – any suspect files are dealt with swiftly and removed if in doubt. http://audioshots.com/auditorium/skank wrote:great list guys...anyway to guarantee these are all legit? I'm kinda fussy about that.
