Hello! I've been searching for free steel drum samples and I've come across numerous posts citing a now dead link:
http://www.phunkynutts.com/steeldrum.php
Most posts are accompanied by such illustrious descriptions as "decent" or "pretty nice". Super exciting stuff. Would love to get my hands on these if anyone has them or knows where to get them. Or if there is another source for free (or relatively inexpensive) steel drum samples, I'm all ears.

I have this sample set on a CDr backup. Let me see if I can find it and I'll get back to you.goldenmommy wrote:Hello! I've been searching for free steel drum samples and I've come across numerous posts citing a now dead link:

Thanks for the replies! PTV, love that Lead Steel Drum! Definitely the best free one I've come across. If any future person has trouble finding it (it only comes up sometimes for unknown reasons), the author credited is Ben Glooped (you can click his name on the left and it should definitely come up).

Any chance one of you've still got this soundfont around? I've got an old project I'm resurrecting and I can't find the sf2 file. All of the links I've found are broken.
