hi .... i sat in an empty shipping container 20 metres from the north atlantic sea in a remote area in south iceland whilst it was totally battered by a 90 mph wind ... and recorded it

yes - there is an EULA in the download - but yes you can sample - resample - it's a royalty free single user license

Strangely relaxing to listen to. Probably because I'm not stuck inside a container trying to sneak into a country without a passport.

I'm a fan of storms so I got it, and its so broadband that a bit of eq brings out the drama.

Interesting. You should make that more clear on your BC page. Does this apply to your other works, in particular, the Icelandic winds?

Lovely stuff. Did you ever catch a documentary on BBC ( I think) about the guy who goes around the country recording the wind? Great little doc.

haha - classic - seriously though, i got so sucked into being in there - just darkness so helped to focus on the sound and knowing that an absolute mental storm was hitting outside and i was safe inside loved the metallic tint to the sound

the container was only empty for one day and the storm hit at a perfect time

thanks michael, really appreciate it - i aim to release all recordings with no eq, compression etc

im looking for unusual places to record some of the crazy weather here - i ve been finding little abandoned fisk storage houses in the lava fields
