yeah, just did it. I see what's going on now :) That's pretty nice of AVID.

Well, if anyone wants to spare a license, feel free to PM me. I'd really appreciate it. I know it's a long show though.

Also, I'd be interested in a trade of some sort as well.

Thanks!

Good luck, I asked for a free license and never received a PM. Maybe you'll get lucky. :tu:

Hi. So it seems I'm a little late perhaps to this free Biotek license info.

I read back a few pages and saw Paul's initial post about it being in our Avid login area? I don't see a thing. Guess I'm not loyal enough?

I'll take an extra serial if anyone is willing. Thanks.

PS: Here's the actual info page for anyone looking. https://www.avid.com/special-offers/pro ... ty-rewards

It seems its only for those on an active PT12 subscription plan. I bought 10 and 11, so they don't consider me 'loyal'. Once again, alienating those original loyal customers... Thanks. One more reason why I'm glad I didn't buy 12 and won't. And I don't do subscription plans.

Jeesh. This is the second 'Loyalty' marketing deal that's been offered me that's helped further turn me into a disloyal ex customer. Slate's was the first. Ah well, their reverse marketing is saving me money already this year. So far I've not spent the typical $1000 - $2000 a month I usually spend on music gear and software like I was doing the last 20 years. So thank you for waking me up from my stupor of addiction. I've been a lot happier not checking deals daily here. GAS is almost cured already.

Post

Wow! $ 240 000 - 480 000 in 20 years...
I though I've invested a lot, but seems I'm just a diletant.

Well, I use ProTools, but if I stopped, my 12 is perpetual, so it stays where I stop. I don't think I would pay except as soon as I stop, Windows will change something and PT will no longer work. And I will have to pay full price for it. I don't know that it is any worse than say Cubase, where they have a half step upgrade for $49 one year, then the full step upgrade for $99 the next. And they still never fix the bugs.

But I am with you on Slate. I bought the VMS mic last year and the tubes thing this year, and I never got any loyalty bonus. And I'm on the mailing list, so I get a lot of emails from them otherwise.

I'd guess I'm around $100-150,000 or so max more than likely. I always buy, as I never liked those who do the cracked software thing. I always try to support the industry. But then petty things just really set me off now as I'm getting older. So these companies are doing themselves more harm than good with their hardliner stances. At least in my case.

Can somebody help me?

I've been very kindly given a BioTek license but can't find where to enter it to unlock the synth. I've tried the trial download from Tracktion and then doesn't seem to accept the code. I've also tried redeeming the code at Tracktion or Avid but can't find it there.

Can you help?

Thanks.

Assuming that it is one of the Pro Tools codes (they start with "PT") you have to enter it here:

Second time they've offered this one-off deal though, bought it last time they ran the offer.

Post

Also, you can add the three preset packs (or get them separately):

"Get these additional 192 presets for Tantra by adding the Factory Expansion Packs to your deal. Normally sold for €42, add them to the Tantra deal for only €15 extra."

Post

Adding them doesn't work. The cart is still empty.

I also already bought it last time. So only the expansions are of interest now. They need to update the link so it works.

Post

Although it says you can add the expansion packs to the cart without purchasing Tantra, when I do it just says the cart is empty.

Edit: seems that's been noted above

Are the expansion packs worth the extra $$ ?
