I'm sorry if it was already discussed (I've read at least 30 pages in this thread and couldn't find the answer), but if I register 2 products worth $100 each, does it qualify me for the $200 free products tier?

No, you will be entered twice at the $100 level.

No. It doesn't work that way.

Thanks, so best path to the $199 tier will be getting 200 Gear Credits for $159, minus 48 Jam Points (30%) = $112 ? :)

Because they are based in Europe.

True, though Bitwig (German) and many other European companies let you pay in Dollars.

Same for me. Actually, I even created a support ticket for it some time ago and they said it is not possible to change the currency and is automatically applied based on regions. So, instead of $112 it was effectively ~ $130. Not a big deal, but $ would have been nice.

Amplitube 5 is great, I like it a lot.
But I liked Amplitube 4 as much as I like Amplitube 5.
LOL your posts sound like you could not have used Amplitube 4 for productions LOL
Are you trying to say Amplitube 4 was crap? LOL
And of course it's comparable.
They added new speaker technology, great.
Changed gui a little, great and a few things more, great!
I could play guitar and bass with 4 and still can with 5.
It was limited, and the GUI was a pain. The only amp I liked from 4 was the Red Pig. The Fender collections didn't sound as good, or feel as good. I'm sure I'm susceptible to the placebo effect as anyone, but I never played with either previous iterations for hours on end. Not tweaking, just playing. Last night I was playing my semi through a custom Twin patch. Never heard Amplitube like that. And it responds to dynamics and volume roll-off, just like real amps.
I have both and I was happy to see that I had a version of 4 that included the Satriani Collection, because A5 is a bit of a pig in memory usage. In Reaper, to load up A5 is almost half a GB more than A4! :(

However, the difference between the JS50 in both plugs is massive. A5 sounds much better. Less boomy (It's a good thing I tested out the JS collection in A5 rather than 4 because I probably wouldn't have picked it as a freebie).

Then I recorded a bit, duplicated on another track, and A/B'd the difference on playback. All amp knobs the same, cabs are the same, the mics and positioning are the same...I can't figure out why it sounds different, but it does.

That said, loading the Boston amp (with no cab modelling really) was similar, but I could not get it to null on a phase test.
A/B-ing other amps in A4/A5 sound similar, others are way different.
According to IK, the amps in A5 have been reworked from previous version:

Hey there!

Just one last BIG question:
I've bought into the GB with 300 GearCredits, spend on T-RackS 5 Deluxe via CS. I've downloaded and registered/authorized T-RackS 5 Deluxe completely.
I have claimed my free products.

Now I am unsure of the following:
Do I have to download AND authorize my free products until 30th of September, to permanently gain them? Or is is enough to just "authorize" in IK Product Manager?

Best wishes to you all!

The IK website says that I can register any eligible products bought from an authorized reseller and claim free products that are of equal/less value than the purchased item.
I have an authorized reseller in my country and I'm planning to buy the Amplitube SVX to get $99 products and syntronik crossgrade to get $199 products. Will this be OK? I'm worried because someone on gearspace said that they bought SVX 2 but could only claim $49 products. The group buy is based on the original value of the product I buy, if I'm not mistaken? It seems like software purchase is non-refundable and I do not want to waste my money. Please help me out. Thanks.
