Hi,

I would like to install the vst version of zyn-fusion to a custom folder inside my home directory and not to /opt. How can I do that? If I just copy the extracted folder into my vst-folder Bitwig and Reaper do not recognize zyn-fusion correctly. I am on Ubuntu 18.04 trying to install zyn-fusion 64 bit 3.0.3.

Thank you very much.

The usual folder for local vstis is ~/.vst Most programs will look here when searching for native vst.

IIRC it should be possible to place the VST shared library anywhere as long as it can find the asset folder. It does this by looking for files relative to the path of the VST shared lib, so as long as you replicate the file structure seen in /opt/zyn-fusion in the desired install directory it ought to work correctly.
