Any way to map the Tempo in setup to a midi controller?

I dont need the overhead of a DAW just for tempo.

If not any ideas on how to do this?

I guess you are talking about the PatchWork or Axiom apps? Do you mean that you would like to change the tempo with a MIDI controller, like any other parameter? It is currently not possible.
