Good day, I am attempting to try out the 3dmidijoy vst in Tracktion 3.
Could someone explain the correct routing of this to me?

I'm hoping to manipulate midi CCs in real time which I am assuming is one of the possible uses of the VST. This (and many other midi plugs) seem to interrupt the chain and the midi can't get past them to the VST synth I have loaded. My current chain is:

TRACK 1: Midi Input > 3djoy > VST Synth >default audio output

I've tried routing to another track, in a rack and with midiyoke (inside tracktion) all to no avail. Incidentally when midiyoke is enabled in Tracktion it seems to "break" the mute\solo fucntions of Tracktion which I would also appreciate any info on.

I have a Midisport 4x4 as well as a midi i\o on my Delta 1010 card, so even a hardware loop would be acceptable.

Thanks!

Hi,
you have to pu them inside a rack.
You will be able to control the Synth params but of course you cannot record the MIDI events since the MIDI plugin is after the track.
But if you have installed a MIDI router like MIDI yoke, you can put the MIDIJoy in a "dummy" track and send its CC outputs to a router port (Direct MIDI Output in the plugin), and then use it as an input port for you Synth track.
