To clarify it installs all the support and preset files for every one of their plugins even if you only install one. It will only install the .dll file for that one plugin not the rest. The Noodlist wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 3:03 amReally? I've not had that experience. Care to elaborate?Halonmusic wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 2:33 am Teksonik is right. It installs all of their plugins even if you un check the ones you dont want.
So yes you can choose to only install one plugin but you'll get all the support files for every plugin they make. See the screenshots above and that's not all of them.
I just tried it on another test machine and the installer still does the same thing. (Win 10 can't speak for Mac).
You might say "well just delete the ones you don't need" but going through hundreds of files trying to figure out which ones the plugin you do have uses and being careful not to delete the wrong ones is not a way I'd like to spend my time. I like to keep my studio computer lean and clean so this kind of bloat won't ever find its way on there.
Once again when people complained about this some years ago his response was "that it's convenient for him". To me that's just sloppy, lazy programming. Then the fact that he used to drop files in your Windows folder just creeped me out although he no longer does that.
Sorry to the Melda fans but I simply won't do business with him any longer. When I bought MReverb years ago the bloat was not an issue.
Anyway I just wanted to give a heads up to new users who might not know the bloat exists so they can decide if installing this "freebie" (that may be limited like his other freebies unless you purchase the "freebie" upgrade) is worth the trouble.........
