You need to install mGUI for most of the GUI's, because mGUI is a wrapper which in turn loads the original plugin ...brok landers wrote:... too bad nobody will ever be able to do a gui for it, though someone did with mgui, afaik ...
that leads me to a question:
do i need to have mgui installed, if i want to use any plugs of which guis were made with mgui?
or can i just download a recompiled dll from asseca's website?
Like a large number of plugins (e.g. Blue Cat, Dash/Nusofting, WusikStation, Morphine, etc) mGUI's skin definitions and graphic-files are placed in a separate folder and not inside the DLL.
This allows to have multiple skins for e.g. VanillaComp (there are currently 4 skins for VanillaComp), this also allows anyone to create new skins for a mGUI wrapped plugin ...
The mGUI installers are simple self-installing 7zip file extractors, so you can use 7zip or WinRAR to extract the files manually.
ALL mGUI files are placed in a single folder VstPlugins\Asseca, and you only need a single Windows registry-entry for the asDataFolder location if you wish to move the DLL wrappers from the VstPlugins\Asseca folder to another folder location.
This thread shows you how the files are organized ...

hehehehehhehe
trivia about that movie...
the whisky bottle that he fully dries on the scene that you can see when Blutarski goes like "when the german bombed pearl harbour", was actually a REAL whisky bottle, since the prop technician has been told to use a real one, as in that scene, anyway, Belushi had theorically to yell out his part and then go out of scene WITHOUT even touching the bottle..
