How do you know it's the most advanced?
He just forgot the obligatory KVR IMHO, that's all.

My pleasure, all these plugin-tests do show their value occasionally :)

Because I already said, Ive tried them all. Out of all of them Trash has the most features and wave shaping/editing options, that makes it the most advanced.

A lot of Trash2 here. I second the notion as well. I use it to help keep my low end audible on smaller systems. Mainly focusing it's use on Low Kick, Top Kicks, toned 808 kicks and some time snares as well. With he toned 808s I have paired it with Waves MaxxBass and UAD's LA-2 MK2 and been in low end heaven. I strongly recommend using the MultiBand compressor when working with toned 808s. I also find it impressive that the MultiBand compressor in Trash2 runs at 0 latency. Because NI's Maschine does have PDC (plugin delay compensation) I make sure any 3rd party plugs I use run at 0 samples of latency @ 44.1.

Trash2 for the shaping/tone of the 808. MaxxBass to add the booty/butt (low end) that I loss in the manipulation with Trash2. Then UAD's LA-2 MK2 to keep it all in check.

It's $29 for the next 5 days at iZotope.

Its one of the few multi-band distortion FX that allows for Impulse Responses.
How cool is that.

Trash 2 can turn a simple waveform into ripping, nasty-yet-awesome textures. I have a designated folder for plugins that really bring the crazy when required, and Trash 2 is in there - with slim company.

It's ridiculous what an awesome tool $29 can get you these days...

Very tempted by it myself. Wasn't impressed at all by the dynamics section (although the sidechain functionality is very good) and the delay is very limited but overall it's well worth $29.

Tempting. I must admit that i'm not a big fan of those multi-fx plugins though, and i already have Driver for distortion and filter, and several saturation plugins, more versatile delay anyway. Very nice sound demos by Simon there though, should sell a few people to Trash 2. :)

Not quite sure I'd call the delay "very limited"... :?

The delay is limited as far as you dont have any control over the separate channels, all the functions are linked. No ping-pong either. However it does sound good... Just not versatile.

That being said, I think it's a great sounding versatile tool overall. You can do subtle to extreme & all in between. 2 filters, convultion, distortion & a gang of control opyions. its low on CPU, loads of presets (the expansion banks are way better than the factory ones) & the GUI is laid out pretty nice. For the current price of $30 this weekend, it's a good deal.

Well, it's as basic as a delay can be in terms of functions - still nice to have and not expected on a distortion plugin.
