You know, usually i just sit back and try to ignore these threads, because actually i agree that Vojtech can act like a pompous twat at times. In fact it may even be worse than i realise because i don't check KVR that often.
But the thing that angers me with this thread is that Vojtech seems to have learned his lesson, and doesn't even post in the effects forum anymore. He just stays in his own sub forum.

I just checked his profile, and the last time he posted in effects forum was sep 2017, when he created a thread titled "Available now: MAutoStereoFix, a unique solution for finalizing stereo tracks"

So his last 1000+ posts have been kept to his own sub forum. And still, some people are unwilling to cut him some slack.

Now i know this thread only got so out of hand because of Soundporn's poor thread title choice, but at some point can you guys just let bygones be bygones?

If you don't know this, the Melda effects are actually the result of userbase input. We would post a request in his forum, and it would be added within days. He put so much effort into organizing his code, that he could add a feature to every single plugin with equal ease. (and this is also why all his plugins look the same).
Even people with one post could come to his forum, request something, and see it implemented.

I remember having conversations with him through email, discussing various things like why i needed a specific thing implememnted, and to me he really did seem like a dream dev, making us our ultimate plugins, and i think this is why he keeps such a high opinion of himself. He gave us everything we were missing from other plugins. Even when he didn't fully understand why we needed something, he gave us it anyway.
How many devs are gonna do that for you?

So although i agree he deserved some kickback for the way he would talk to people, i find it hard to sit back and watch people treat his plugins like they are some half-assed synthedit crap

gee, it's some war isn't it, when a nearly 10 years old freeware still wipes the floor with the rest...

Seriously dude, could you make you're flame baiting a little more obvious next time?

Post

Which free delay is this that wipes the floor with Sandman Pro, Replika XT, and Late Replies? I am seriously asking.

Yeah but it’s 32 bit unfortunately (my DAW is 64)

and Bloom, and psp85, and Sigmund, Imperial Delay, Echoboy, just name it, H-Delay, Objec, Dubstation, Ricochet, shit, even the mighty Echobode... all very very nice, but ultimately, and annoyingly at this point, it remains the king.

where's the 64-bit version MK3? he must really not be into money.

I'm just finding out about Late Replies, now that is an interesting development for sure, gotta try that one out.

Which delay?

Been reading through this thread, really a waste of time sadly. I wish there were some shootouts, pro's and cons between delay vst's posted. My go-to's are Filter Delay (Live) and Replika XL. Great sound and workflow. I can get to the delay effect i want fast. Also Boz's imperial delay is good but i hate the fast volume rolloff in the feedback. Even with high feedback, the delayed signal's volume drops soo fast. So i use it for very short delays mostly.

it even still has the coolest looking GUI.

Yes, NastyDLA is one hell of a delay plugin!
"Preamps have literally one job: when you turn up the gain, it gets louder." Jamcat, talking about presmp-emulation plugins.
