Introducing Rift, a cutting-edge hybrid distortion effect by Minimal Audio.

Available now and on sale for early adopters!

At Rift's core is our unique bipolar distortion engine. Effortlessly create massive saturation and animated harmonic movement that is impossible with other plugins.

Add tunable feedback, advanced morphing filters, and industry-leading modulation — and you've got an effects plugin built for a new generation of distortion techniques.

Rift is listed for $129 but early adopters can get it for $75.

dang this is tempting. Does it live up to the marketing hype in terms of the bipolar and physical modeling features?

Unique bipolar distortion? Correct me if there's something different about Rift, but iZotope Trash has had bipolar waveshaping for, like, 10+ years...

Really wish they had a demo... I'm not into buy-to-try.... if I don't want/like something, I just want to uninstall and move on with my life. A shame, looks cool.

I agree, however, they do offer a free lite version of Rift.

This is nota bad method - perhaps not as convenient as a fully featured demo but still ok

from their website - "Instead of demos, we offer a 30-day Return Policy on our software. We also offer "lite" versions for free. This simplifies things and gives us more time to work on making great products!"

Have not found their license transfer policy yet

Looks interesting but strongly need demo version, 75 bucks incompatible with this circumstance unfortunately.
Or 40 without demo, or more buth with demo.

The "Lite" version is just the filter section as far as I can see.

Liking the sounds, but seems like it will be really hampered by the price.

in comparison to Trash 2 (which is often very very cheap) I think so. I would not get it as well as Trash2 but I think Rift looks better and more usable - but for a Trash2 owner the price is offputting

Post

Well, people often wish for Trash 2 to be updated. If it had morphing and modulation options like Rift, that would be great. But Trash 3 does not seem to be on the radar. And now Rift has come along with some nice features. I'll keep checking out videos--I really want to determine if I would appreciate its features over what I have now (Shaperbox, Shade and a lot of saturation and distortion plugins).
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.
