Building a new DAW here next week and looking to see if there's anything I'm really missing. I'm mainly interested in delays and multi-effects processors. Not interested in compressors, EQ's, distortion, and 'manglers'. What I currently have is -
  • Eventide/NewFangled Audio Bundles
Izotope Music Production Suite 5.2/Exponential Audio Suite
    SoundToys 5.3 Bundle
    50+ UAD plugins
    Relab LX-480 Essentials
Planning on grabbing the Valhalla stuff as well shortly. Also patiently waiting for Relab VSR Rev6000. Used to own a TC Reverb 4000, but the ticking timebomb of the power supply turned me off, and sold it. Most transparent reverb I've ever owned; loved it.

Anything else in that caliber of quality that's a must have?

I'd say you have loads already. Soundtoys is like an industry standard, and all those UAD plugins are solid workhorse tools. Best to really dig in to what you have and know it inside out, rather than 'ooh look at that'. Soundtoys, for example, are still very much relevant; Echoboy is still rather popular and fun, and their plate reverb is very nice. Having said that, Infiltrator 2 seems rather nice, and is a multi-effect.

A Bricasti M7 VST emulation
Seems like it will be something you’re looking for.
Now that I think about it, there are a lot of exceptional reverbs out there. I’ll make a list when I get back.
As far as delays to be honest, I’ve been a little underwhelmed for me Valhallas delay works very well. Different modeling delays, different tonalities and easy GUI and it sounds phenomenal d16 has a good sounding analog delay I feel like it’s their answer to Soundtoys echo boy.

By multi effect, you gotta be a bit more clear because there are multi effect plug-ins that are designed for two bus work or multi effect plug-ins That are reverb and Delay in modulation effects.

Grant it, I don't have any of the things you list you have, but I do have (literally) hundreds of processing tools. A couple of favorites which are currently on sale: {$34.50, and $19.00 respectively}

D16 Godfazer is a swiss army phaser, flanger.
FabFilter Volcano 3 is a super flexible filter with great mod system.

Saturn2 is a distortion powerhouse with an extremely flexible mod system and 5 specifically “effect” algorithms.

PSP - Saturator, is one of the very best, yet also very underrated Saturators around.

PSP - Impressor, a versataille Tool for most of your daily Compression needs.

PSP - Xenon, has some neat features in the Bag not seen in many other until this Day.

PSP - BinAmp, as my personal Wildcard.

Native Instruments Raum is a top reverb, using it all the time. ToneBoosters Module, FIX and Reverb (free legacy plug-ins) are really nice too!

Whilst some good FX from yesteryear still going strong many gems are no longer alive...

Ignore soundtoys and valhalla which you said you were already planning on getting. These are all high caliber plugins in my opinion.

Sixth Sample Deelay (I don't have the platinum edition but this guy is a really cool developer IMO)
Audio Damage Dubstation 2 (I Actually prefer the sound of v1 but it's not available)
EchoBoy (if you only have one delay...)
Valhalla Delay (echoboy has a new competitor)

Guitar Rig 7 (this interface just flows easily for some reason)
Soundtoys Effect Rack (if you only have one multifx...)
DS Tantra 2 (I talked crap about the GUI on v2 but it looks a lot better on 4k monitors.)
Dawesome Love (got this for free and it was a surprise hit with me)

I don't own Devious Machines Infiltrator 2 but I want it.

Klanghelm VUMT Pro is a must.

Try TC's VSS4 HD plugin. Try preset 110 SKY A Very Small Room on drums. Bonus: try Lexicon 224 on Room A with Bass, Mid, and Depth at zero, and turn up Treble Decay and Pre-Delay until you get a similar sound (you'll need to open the extra parameters window and turn down the output level if you're comparing them on the same send).

Work in Progress but Filterverse from Polyverse will be a must have magic FX toolbox https://polyversemusic.com/products/filterverse/
Their Supermodal Fx is also very good for sound design

Oh nice, I hadn't seen that before. Not a lot of multi-effects processors except in hardware, so nice to check them out. Thanks!
