Plugin versions of the El Capistan and DIG delay pedals in a $99 bundle (also available separately for $79 each). Now we're talking.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - I'd kill to have Strymon strike a deal with UAD so I could have these available in my Apollos!

I got them, and I have to say that, while they sound good, I’m a bit disappointed. They just don’t do much. I was so impressed with Bigsky and Deco that I didn’t even bother to demo these… and I should have. Not sure they add anything that I’m not getting (x10) from Valhalla Delay.

I'd much rather have Magneto as a plugin.
(I guess ElCap doesn't do the Magneto trick, where TapTempo sets the distance of the virtual heads instead of altering tape speed, so that you can have 1/8-delay with high tape speed, with low tape speed, or anything in between?)

Not even close really, definitely the timeline.

Let's compromise. I'll settle for both.pekbro wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 12:43 amI have a Magneto and a Timeline, id still rather have the timeline as a plugin.rydan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 12:12 amI'd much rather have Magneto as a plugin.

Yeah, I'm sure Valhalla Delay is great. But if you have the pedals it's really nice to have them also as plugins.zerocrossing wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 8:33 pm I got them, and I have to say that, while they sound good, I’m a bit disappointed. Maybe you can still return it?

Presumably, they are are currently developing the next version of the Timeline after releasing the revamped Big Sky earlier this year. It's a bit strange that they are releasing software versions of 10+ year old pedals for premium prices, then releasing improved versions of the hardware shortly afterward. Will the software also be updated at some point?

AD needs to up their game vs the arm chips.SonicDimension wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 5:21 amPresumably, they are are currently developing the next version of the Timeline after releasing the revamped Big Sky earlier this year. I would think the sharc is still better at processing audio, its just slow vs the arm
chip.
Arm is gonna be cheaper tho, maybe thats
the plan as well.
