So I’m mixing a vocal that has quite a bit of sibilance and plosives cramping it. Otherwise very beautiful.
I’m using waves de esser and I’m finding that it makes the singer sound like she lisps.
Anyone experience this? Clues on how to walk this line?

Yup. Waves DeEsser is not the cleanest algorithm. Try the FabFilter Pro-DS, works much more transparently at similar settings. Alternately, separate the S sounds by clip/region and reduce their gain, or use automation, so that your de-esser doesn't have to work as hard.

I suggest trying Sibilance. It works in a slightly different way than regular de-essers afaik and I got very good results with it.
