probably shouldn't polish a turd

How to do this, that and the other. Share, learn, teach. How did X do that? How can I sound like Y?

but if you're making music that is trying to sounds like that I guess you should, although you can not polish a turd and get anything more than a turd, (well with the exception of outboard distortion possibly) you sure can take gold and rub a lil dirt on it. that can't hurt.

With all that said, I've had the misfortune of buying Ochen K.'s Rack extensions for reason and I'm trying to justify the cost, has there been anyone that has made good use of these proverbial turds? I'm curious as to what people have discovered.

P.S. Sorry Ochen K., you have a lot to learn about DSP, what you have has some real potential if it weren't for the piss poor sound quality.

Yep, it's much more fun to gild lilies.

But you CAN polish a turd!

I don't know what rack extension this is (I don't own Reason, so I can't try it out) but my experience tells me it is very feasible to create beautiful things out of ugly stuff.

If you are talking about his Glitch thing, the name should have rang some alarm bells, not?
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

If it's your own turd, you may not mind spending the time tme to polish it. You get used to the smell. Polishing other people's turds however is a nightmarish task.

peasants built houses from dung huts... I'm not a peasant, so I should probably not do that. :hihi:
