Hi All

I’m on the verge to achieve a 12 titles production for a quite known African singer from Guinea Conakry

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macire_sylla

I expect, once the first production achieved in stereo to add a surround version of each title (if possible)

What I own to work 5.1 surround is quite minimalistic (terrace dmx6Fire usb interface + a set of Logitech 5.1 speakers and bass booster)...but enough to begin, I still need to space them correctly I assume though, that it might not be as demanding a a synchronized sound+images situation, like in a cinematic sonic background

Reasonably, I should at least leave the mastering process to a specialized structure

So in summary, I need to recreate a 5.1 surround mixing from an achieve stereo one...still unexperienced in mixing in 5.1...good time to begin, me thinks !

Any advises from experienced fellows ?

BTW I’m working with Logic pro X

Just dive in head first and see how it goes is my advice.

One tip: don't overdo it.

I recommend you ask this question over at Gearslutz.

Not to take anything away from KVR but at GS this is what they do day & night. There are loads of Dolby Atmos, 5.1, Netflix post production, etc. questions over there.
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"
