I’m looking into making my first album of covers of traditional songs from around Asia, the Americas, Australia, and Europe.
First a set of Indonesian and Sumatran traditional and folk songs.
I want to do it in a particular music style from Indonesia known as dangdut and also Sumatran music too

I want to know which kind of synth sounds would I use, I plan on making this with a band with rhythm keyboard, bass, electronic drums, flute, tambourine, tablas, and rhythm/lead guitar by other people, and me doing stuff on my MX49, Casio keyboards and whatever ones I get in the future, and various softsynths.

What YOU would use is an artistical decision imho, so you cannot expect anyone other than yourself to answer that.

This explains why you get no answers. The decision is up to you.

Record some basic instruments, fill the gaps you feel are necessary to fill. Maybe then in the Music Cafe ask us feedback what else to do with it.
