My new Modern Sampling workshop series started at www.amazona.de magazine (german language).
You will find answers to the questions
- Why should I create my own samples, there are already a lot of great samples out there?
- How can I organize my sample libraries efficently and what's the quickest solution to find specific sounds?
- Are all sampleplayers equal or are there differences?
- What is so special and charming with the old Fairlight and Emulator II samples?
- Controller assignment and key switches - useful or not?
- What software should I use for making sustain loops, audio cleaning, archive organization, etc. for my own samples?
This and much more can be found there, just go to the already published series #1 and #2 here
Modern Sampling #1: http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=3120
Modern Sampling #2: http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=3192
The workshop series is published monthly.
Happy sampling!
Klaus

Now the 3rd episode published!
Get a how-to instruction for perfect sustain-loops, sample editing and a resource direction to all the software you need for that venture. It is written in german language, but you can use the Google translator for other languages.
As usual the workshop comes with audio examples to demonstrate the various working processes. You can do all this with your own recorded samples and if you do not have one you can download the sample sessions from episode 2.
Here we go to Modern Sampling #3: http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=3253
Best regards
Klaus
