There are downloadable alternatives out there though. Means that I don't have to get up and go to the store. Means that I don't have to spend money on shipping or gas. Usually cheaper than buying the actual disc too.
But I still buy 'em. I just prefer buying something that has a tangible presence, if the option is offered.
I don't think I could ever bring myself to purchase an mp3 as a result. I'd rather buy the cd and convert it to MP3s. The CD has art and lyrics.. etc.. and when my MP3 player kicks the bucket, I still have the CD upon which to rely. As far as music goes.
As far as software goes.. I still prefer a disc.. mostly for the backup. I trust a pressed disc over a burned one.
