They seem to be working on a separate project. Except for a bugfix, I would not count on an update any time soon.

Just check the forum, as ravasb mentions, it is not currebtly getting updated, a bug fix version is due.
If your plugin is a C++ creation, please don't say so.
If it is, pop round Marcos, he has just bought you a Mac to port it.

Why would anybody know ?
They are not the most informative of developers and when they design something new it is usable but not exactly a requested development.
You will have to wait, that is the way with hobby developers.
