Honestly, I can't see any similarity... and I'm glad. If Reason would look as your pictures, I think nobody would use it.

For start, you use way too much colors - it just hursts, and make everything to look clutter (it is cluttered, but even if it wasn«t it would look cluttered because of excessive colors and strong contrasts.

Then you have buttons EVERYWHERE. You have buttons on top, you have buttons on bottom, you have buttons on the left, and on the right. Even in the middle of the screen. Really, that would be a total mess.
+1. I want to pick up Reason at some point, but I wouldn't dare touch it if it looked like this...

I did it for the challenge really because it had never been done before... For years prior, I wanted to redesign the SSL Mixer because it was always a pain in the ass to use, especially at night and changing orientation of monitors was inconvenient. The plan wasn't initially to redesign the main sequencer, but with Reason still lacking in workflow aspects and many other features in 2014, it had to be done. Essentially I grabbed a screenshot from the props site rather than waiting months for the demo to come out and used that to rebuild everything from scratch, as the original screenshot was fairly low res and artefact ridden.

Doing a direct copy, with nothing changed was lazy I thought, so devising new idea's was really the way forward. The number of changes and features designed must be well over a hundred...but I dare not count them.

I didn't do this project for money (I wasn't on their pay role in any case), I did it because I wanted to see the software I used improve and for the propellerheads to take notice of that during that particular time. Did I expect everyone to like what I designed / proposed, not at all... but generally it's been very positive.

It was a fun project... although one that took lots of patience... sorta like building a huge battleship or space cruiser / city.

As for the rest of you that think I'm this or that....well you know where you can go... ... Think you can design / redesign a daw like Reason from scratch...be my guest...but don't be a collective forum troll.

I'm, I'm afraid there's been a mistake. The man who has been speaking to you is an impostor. He is not in fact the Bishop of East Anglia, but a man wanted by the police. I am the Bishop of East Anglia and anyone who doesn't believe me can look me up in the book. Now then, the first prize is this beautiful silver cup, which has been won by me.

(he puts the silver cup into a sack)

Next we come to the Fairfax Atkinson Trophy for outstanding achievement in the field of Applied Mathematics. Well, there was no-one this year who reached the required standard so it goes in my sack. And by an old rule of the school all the other silver trophies also go in my sack ...

Aaagh!

I designed the Hindenburg but after it exploded I blamed it on a German dude that owed me 20 bucks. :hihi:

Ladies and gentlemen, I have some alarming news. This man is not the Bishop of East Anglia but another clever impostor. You can believe me because I am the Earl of Sandwich and have known the real Bishop for many years.

Allow me to lay out the basic facts once and for all. I, the Earl of Sandwich, invented everyone's favorite lunch meal in 1762. Then a few years later in 2011, while eating a delicious sandwich, I designed Reason 10. All other claims in this thread are spurious and should not be trusted. Thank you for your cooperation.

No, you did not designed Reason 10 in 2014.
It would be actually cool to know the real guy (or team) who designed it and eventually that person can share some insights on the making.

This.. is a pointless topic, really. :?

Post

when you see a badly rendered pink penis gif jumping all over the shop i think you can take it that the thread is closed.
poor intrancer, he just wants approbation.
as do we all.

a penis is only pornographic if its erect, we cannot say for certain if this particular penis is in fact erect, so may not actually be pornography, instead being on the other side of that fine line betwixt pornography and art.
can we censor art without turning in to that which we abhor?

Post

Its not even a penis. Its a badly animated gif of a drawing that looks like a penis.
