FL Studio has Patcher
https://www.image-line.com/support/FLHe ... atcher.htm
IIRC it can host both 32 and 64 bit plugins.
Alps keep in mind that FLS Studio can be a VSTi
or stand-alone.

yeah, i was wondering about that. I use jbridge, and i have all sorts of issues with it. Naturally seems so. Unless better solution out there i dont know about.No_Use wrote:If running bridged than maybe the bridge is unstable, but 32 bit plugins per se (just because of bit architecture) certainly not.lfm wrote: But think 32-bit plugins are the source to all instability, just get rid of it.
i dont see why them being 32 bits would mean they do not work any less.
honestly i have no idea why a daw would only allow 64 bit, doesnt make sense.

Well JBridge is very unstable for me and I don't like the way it adds additional GUI to the wrapper, the wrappers in Bitwig and Reaper work much better. Metaplugins wrapper doesn't work for me.
Aside from the inconsistencies of wrappers there is a problem with stability with many 32 bit plugins I have but I don't think the problem is 32 bit per se but just the fact that, on Mac at least, since 32 bit is deprecated all the remaining 32 bit only plugins are either very old and so not uptodate enough to maintain good compatibility with modern hosts, or buggy alphas (eg Imageline). This is particularly due to modern graphics requirements.

I tried many many, including those mentioned in this thread. Caveat: I'm talking MAC. Now, I have a couple of 'devices' - Numerology and NORA - that I stand by. But they both have very involved GUI's with tabs, windows, etc. inside of them. The only wrapper I have found that can reliably open them with a functional GUI (no missing elements, no jumbled text, no unresponsive tabs) was MULAB MUX. And it comes with a host of it's own highly useful widgets.
