I have a MIDI controller connected to a particular track in Cubase but when I select another track it stops working.

How do I lock the controller to the single track?

Stupid question: Did you activate monitoring for the to-be-controlled track?

The manual also says that MIDI through has to be active:
Monitor

Routes incoming MIDI to the selected MIDI output. For this to work, activate MIDI Thru Active in the Preferences dialog (MIDI page).

Thanks mate. Will have another look tomorrow :tu:

Sorry for the oversight in not RTFM; cracking headache. Will report back tomorrow.

I never read the manual either, TBH. Actually, i only took a look to see if "monitoring" is the right term, because i only know the German terminology from my Cubase. :)

So simple. Works a treat. You're about to make my bank holiday Monday very productive :tu:
