Ok, thanks! That's not so bad :)

Welcome!

Or you can just click the parameter's name (here I clicked the 7th slot) and an extensive list appears with many additional parameters (inserts, sends, and even Strip). There is also a search field that might help.

I left to check the Mix in studio B :hihi:

S1 is so infuriatingly powerful, but undocumented :)

When you Bounce Selection / Bounce To New Track / Mixdown Selection a MIDI clip, it will include both the Inserts and Sends. This was unexpected but surprisingly awesome, because you can always temporarily disable one or both to bounce dry(ish).

Anyway, today I found that Sends can also NOT be included in the bounce, if Solo Safe is disabled (or isn't engaged)! Makes sense when one assumes S1 bounces track by "soloing" it and capturing Master pre-inserts. But that caught me off-guard and can lead to errors or mistakes very easily... :dog:

Reaper has extensive accessibility features for people who are blind and visually impaired. However if Elon musk invents some new fangled bionic eyeball technology… Who knows? I might find my way back

^^^ exSonar has a quite nice Bitwig like(black-organge) theme, Deep in Lab

I really don't think any of those screens is readable for person with impaired vision...

For someone with those issues I'd say Live or Waveform could be a good pick, as they can be independently zoomed in, themed with contrasting colours and their GUIs are pretty sparse and un-cluttered anyway, unlike Cakewalk's (or most other DAWs').

You are correct as far as those things being somewhat cluttered. However it’s definitely better than some as far as the contrasting colors go. Pretty readable given my particular brand of visual impairment. Clutter aside.

Where reaper has the edge is screen reader compatibility. At times when my eyes are completely fatigue I can just shift focus to an area using one of 1000 short cuts, and the screen reader will tell me where I am and what I’m about to click.

I may take a look at the platforms you mentioned though. Thanks!

I’m a long time cake walk user from back in the pro home studio eight days. Screen reader support as stated by the link you provided is only supported up to version 8.5. To their credit, Cakewalk was one of the few companies that had support back then.Samplitude, my favorite, was another. I sold sonar X3 around 2014 I think.

That being said I don’t know that anything has changed with regard to sonar screen reader compatibility. However I’m much less inclined to try and hack the registry then I was back in the sonar 8.5 days LOL. I still very much appreciate them for what they brought to the game back in the day though.

Anyone notice the amount of users switching from Studio One to Ableton? I've seen a guy who produces who took over studio ones instagram switch to Live. One youtube I see is doing videos making music with Live. I guess I could say more modern producers.

I think it's hard to get an accurate read of users' habits (even pro users, maybe especially pro users from the relatively small # of pros who post actively and have channels etc) by looking at Instagram and Youtube. Some people learn other DAWs to show how to do the stuff they do in other platforms.

Very annoying the search bar is not persistent. Takes up no space so I dont understand why they dont just have a setting to leave it visible
